If you have a limited budget for a new camera , the first step is to fix the range of budget ( how much you can spent plus or minus 10-15%) .

The next important step in choosing your camera is to know how you will use it .

At this step you need to choose between a SLR or a Point  and Shoot camera .

To help you to choose between this two types of camera we will describe the main characteristics  of this two technologies .

A digital SLR camera ( or DSLR ) enable you to swap lenses. The SLR is referring to a internal mechanism used by camera , the SLR means single-lens reflex.

Using a SLR camera  you can use a wide-angle lens for your travel photography and switch to a close-up lens for pictures of flowers , insects and other small subjects.

Point-and-shoot cameras do not offer this flexibility ( to switch between wide or close up lens ) .

Both types of cameras have their advantages or disadvantages :

A DSLR camera offer  more  controls of shoots , not only because you can swap out lenses but also because you have advanced options for manipulating exposure, focus, and color not found in most point-and-shoot models.

Some dSLRs  camera can shoot up to 10 frames per second  . If you  want to a dSLR camera you must know that you need to spent other money for lens . If you already own lenses, you may be able to use them with other digital body camera from the same manufacturer.

At some  dSLRs, you cannot use the display as a viewfinder as you can with point-and-shoot digitals.

If you are a novice in SLR photography  he best thing is to use first a entry level model which typically offer you the choice of shooting in automatic mode or manual mode and also offer other ease-of-use features you may not get with a semi-pro, high-end model .

A dSLR camera can accept a variety of lenses and offers other higher-end capabilities.

Point and shoot camera has their advantages and disadvantages like the dSLR camera .

A point and shoot camera is less expensive than a DSLR camera and is more easy to use offering many auto settings like autofocus, autoexposure, and other settings .

A point and shoot camera size is small in comparison with a DSLR many of them you can put in your pocket .

On many Point and shoot cameras you don’t have a viewfinder or if it exist is hard to use because of the small size of it .

The main disadvantage of the Point and Shoot is that at this camera model you can not switch lens , so you have a fixed lens with a fixed parameters .

Some Point an Shoot cameras has manual controls which are very good to learn how to use these setting which are found in DSLR cameras .

After you decided what type of camera you need you can start to search the ideal camera for you from the available cameras on market .

After that choose some  models of cameras find some reviews about each of them to discover the bad and good things about it .

The last step of choosing the camera is to find the best price on market .

2. Chose Between Point and Shoot or DSLR
